LPI 175 – 2023 Standard for the Design – Installation – Inspection of Lightning Protection Systems
The Lightning Protection Institute (LPI) adopts the latest edition of the NFPA 780 Standard as its reference document for system design. LPI advocates use of LPI-IP as the third-party inspection authority for system design, components and installation. LPI publishes this booklet, LPI 175, based on NFPA 780, with additional explanatory material helpful to installer and inspector member personnel.
Lightning Protection Institute Drawing Stamp
The Lightning Protection Institute has approved the issuance of drawing stamps by the organization to promote member Certifications. Master Installer, Master Installer Designer, and Designer Inspector certified individuals in good standing with the organization may order these stamps from LPI to promote their certification on drawings or other submittal information for projects.
The cost for a stamp is $45.00 / each. These are pre-inked stamps that should last for an extended period of time. They will be individualized, including the Certified individuals name and LPI identification number. Promoting your credentials is a good way to advise Architects and Engineers reviewing submittals that you have qualified under the LPI programs to a high level of expertise on lightning protection system design and installation techniques.
