The Summit

This is what MOMENTUM looks like.
The ICC/IBC Codes Group pushes forward in Hartford.

The Summit provides an opportunity to bring together lightning protection organizations
and key individuals to outline challenges and opportunities for the industry.
Together and separate, we each have a specific role in the strategy to drive the industry forward.

Collaborative minds creating strategy and momentum to reach new heights.

By registering for this event, you become a Delegate for the lightning protection industry
to provide the insight and leadership needed to support the growth of our industry.

Registrants are required to submit their vision for the industry - a 150 word or less statement
on where you would like to see the industry in 3-5 years.

Register by July 15th

In order to make the process efficient, we are capping the number of delegates
this year to 40 individuals.  In addition, there will be a two (2) delegate maximum from each
company/organization to ensure different experiences and input.

The Summit is designed to move industry priorities forward through focused discussion, committee collaboration, and shared strategic planning.

Delegates will discuss current committee initiatives, including:

• Maintenance & Inspection as part of NFPA 780
• ICC / Codes & Standards
• Critical Facilities
• Ethics

Additional initiatives will be determined before the event.  These conversations will help identify priorities, align industry efforts, and support the development of meaningful next steps.

We want your input!  The goal is to hit the ground running when Delegates arrive August 18th.
This means identifying key initiatives and assigning groups before the delegates arrive.

During registration, Individuals/Future Delegates have the opportunity to indicate key
initiatives and share their Vision.  If you cannot join us, and as always,
send us your ideas and suggestions to lpi@lightning.org.

Our industry consists of multiple organizations focused on one or many objectives.  By coming together, we can create a bigger and more cohesive effort for growth and provide better access to resources.  The Summit is the time to hear updates on each of these organizations' efforts.  Their input as well as the insight from other industry leaders will provide the foundation for outlining our industry vision.
