Innovation Awards
The purpose of the Innovation Awards is to provide recognition to LPI Members and an outside individual or firm for their collaboration on the design and installation of a lightning protection system. Awards are given to a person/firm that demonstrated early coordination with an LPI professional to design an innovative solution to improve the aesthetics of the lightning protection system on a noteworthy structure.
CRITERIA:
- Nominator must be an LPI Member
- Recipient may be an individual or firm: architect, engineer, or specifier (i.e. roofing consultant)
- Project must be completed within a specific time frame (see LPI Innovation Award Description form for specific details)
- Must show proof of "early coordination" by providing the following:
- Signed form by nominee that verifies coordination
- Technical/engineering drawings
- Submit 2-3 real life photos of completed job (more phots may be submitted)
- Brief description of the project: tell us about the process and how this person/firm made the project successful
WINNERS WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Recognized on social media
- Press release
- Custom article created to showcase the project; utilized on the LPI website and for advertising
- Included in the LPI website homepage of rotating features
- Shared with other industry organizations at their events
- Recognition in publications/newsletter
